In 1878, map makers Woolman & Rose drew the Chalfonte Hotel as it appeared that year and published it in their Atlas of the Jersey Shore. I've translated that etching into a colorful oil painting. I often use vintage raised panels, like this one, for my canvas. Each is signed and has a small copy of the etching on the back side.
The vintage pine panel measures 11 5/8" by 8 7/8"; the image measures 9.25" x 6 3/8".
